A new soccer court was built this month for our participants! This is a wonderful example of what can be achieved by bringing together competent partners in integration work.

In our social education work, we have for many years relied on sport as an essential instrument for creating more participation. Our educational programmes include football, dancing, boxing, table tennis and much more. For a few months now, we have been offering a weekly football programme in the Marienfelder Allee transitional home, which is run by the International Federation (IB).

This offer is now being supported by other well-known partners by improving the infrastructure. Thanks to the mediation of the long-standing cooperation partner FC Internationale Berlin 1980 e. V., a very special artificial turf could be purchased at a very low price through the company Fieldturf:

This is not made of petroleum-based plastic, as is usually the case, but was produced from over 90 per cent plastic waste and is the first field of its kind to be installed in Germany. This artificial turf is installed in a football court provided by FUSSBALL GRENZENLOS, a project of the Berlin Football Association.

We know that improving the framework conditions for working with our target groups is a basic prerequisite for positive educational work. Therefore, we are all the more pleased about the great result and would like to thank all those involved for the great cooperation! The football offer takes place within the framework of the project work for you Berlin and is supported by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union.
