Especially in view of the devastating drought last year, we are all the more pleased to be able to fight against it with a new project.
May saw the launch of the project "Identification and restoration of degraded forest areas in 3 communities in the buffer zone of the Cordillera San Rafael Protected Area, a representative fragment of the Upper Paraná Ecoregion (BAAPA)". Bulky, yes, but basically it means that we are reforesting the buffer zone of the nature reserve as part of this project!
The main objective of the project is to contribute to the conservation of this ecoregion, where the Cordillera San Rafael is found as the largest contiguous area of rainforest, by restoring and protecting the degraded areas.
We are pleased about the large participation at the project launch in May, where commitment agreements have also already been signed.
