We used the few rays of sunshine in November to add a garden pond to our wild bee show garden. The new watering hole is 120 centimetres deep and a good 8 square metres in size. All thirsty animal visitors will have safe access to and exit from the pond.
Pond lilies, iris and a rush were transferred from the previous pond to the new one. Fir fronds, water mint, marsh marigold and purple loosestrife are to follow. All in all, we want to expand the wild bee garden from 500 to 1,000 square metres!
